Silurian Springs Bath House

Shim

The Silurian Springs Bath House stood for nearly half a century in Coffeyville as a monument to the ingenuity of W.P. Brown, pioneer gas explorer.

The Bath House - like the Brown Mansion which was also built by Mr Brown - was a monument to Brown's ability to turn wealth from subterranean discoveries into mammoth buildings that were wonders of wood and stone.

The Bath House, known locally as the Natatorium, constructed in 1906 and demolished in the 1950's was located across Walnut Street, to the west and south of the site of W.P. Brown's home, the Brown Mansion.
